International Conference on Accessible Tourism (ICAT)

This conference was coorganized at UNCC, United Nations, Bangkok, Thailand, by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, UNESCAP and Disabled Peoples’ International Asia Pacific (DPI-AP), supported by Pattaya City, Redemptorist Foundation for Persons with Disabilities and Asia Pacific Disability Forum (APDF). The conference aims to promote accessible tourism in the region as a way to enhance the implementation of the Biwako Millennium Framework (BMF) for Action towards Inclusive, Barrier-free and Rightsbased Society, and the plan of Action for Sustainable Tourism Development in Asia and the Pacific (phase 2, 2006-2012).

Govt certifies LABARD as welfare body

LAHORE: The government has certified the Lahore Businessmen Association for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled (LABARD) as a welfare organisation and as per Income Tax Laws all the donations extended to LABARD will be exempt from any sort of tax deduction.
